FEBRUARY MEETINGS UPDATE
It is hard to believe that the month of January 2016 has already come and gone. It is a busy time for all of us at The Rotary Club of Palmdale as we plow through the winter and plan for upcoming spring events. We closed out 2015 with our Annual Oktoberfest in October, a Chili Cook-Off competition, and our Annual Children’s Christmas Shopping Spree in December. Stories are currently on our website.
Remember as of January 6th, we are now meeting and Gino’s Italian Restaurant (north of Alice’s’) for our monthly Board Meetings. As always, the meetings will take place on the first Wednesday of the month. Otherwise we meet at Sizzler on Palmdale Blvd.
On January 21, the Palmdale Rotary Club met at the Antelope Elementary School Board Meeting to be officially recognized by the school district and the students for our donation of musical instruments to the school. The meeting was well attended and the students, faculty, and school board directors were very thankful for our donation.
At the February Board Meeting, we will review reports from the last Board Meeting, review the financials, complete the list of officers and committee chairs for 2016-2017, and continue planning for our upcoming Spring Blowout at the Swap Meet in April.
