Meeting Recap 01/02/19
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their monthly Board meeting at Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Palmdale on 02 January 2019. Full details of the meeting will be presented at next month’s Board meeting when the minutes are read and approved. The meeting was called to order by President Sam Garcia at 6:45 PM. Members in attendance were Chuck Church, Janice Garcia, Tina Borzage and Sam Garcia. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:17 PM.
Secretary Janice Garcia read the Minutes from the December meeting. The Minutes were approved.
Tina Borzage presented the December Treasurer’s Report. The report was approved.
President Sam Garcia covered weekly emails. Events coming up are PETS, the District Gala and District Assembly. Details will follow. The major point of discussion was the District Governor’s newsletter. Sam read the newsletter to those present.
The possible merger of AV Sunrise, Rosamond and Palmdale Rotary into one club will be the main topic for discussion at the 9 January 2019 weekly meeting. All three Clubs are expected to be at the meeting on 9 January to discuss the feasibility of merging the Clubs. Sam asked our club members to make a list of discussion points to be covered at the meeting. Janice will compile the data and generate an agenda that the attendees can follow.

Chuck mentioned that we had submitted our Grant request to the County of Los Angeles and that it was being processed by the County Supervisors Staff. Chuck also mentioned that he had the Interact Club Tee Shirts.
