Meeting Recap 01/11/17
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 11 January 2017. The meeting was called to order by President Chuck Church at 6:35 PM. Members in attendance were: Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, David Maddock, Yolanda Risch, Rosana Budd, Laureano Flores and Chuck Church. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00.
Sharon Freeman reported on the status of our RYLA Students. Priscilla Gomez and Daniel Cuyate have been selected as the students from Palmdale Rotary. Their reservations for RYLA camp have been submitted and the fees have been paid. We just need to complete the forms for each of the individuals to finish the registration.
Donations for Valerie Lensing have been collected from the Club and Chuck Church. Rosana Budd is also donating for the project. She paid her money to Tina Borzage at this evening’s meeting. Donations from other individuals are still being collected.
The Spring Blowout Sale is going to be in April. We still need to get with the absent members to determine the best Sunday for the event. It will be on April 2, 9, or 16 depending on when the most club members are available to work the event.
Old Business:
Chuck Church contacted Veronica Jordan about attending the Club Meeting on the
25th, but she was unable to attend. Chuck will invite her to the February 8th or 15th
meeting, whichever is most convenient for her to attend.

Lori Troise was not at the meeting, thus we did not get an update on our Special Raffle
winner.

New Business:
Sharon Freeman reported that the Antelope Elementary School Board will be meeting
on February 2, 2017. She will see that we have two slots on the agenda to speak in
behalf of the Music Program at the Elementary School.
