Meeting Recap 02/20/19
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 20 February 2019. The meeting was called to order by President Sam Garcia at 6:40 PM. Members in attendance were Chuck Church, Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, Don Ryan and Sam Garcia. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00 PM.
Sharon Freeman updated the Club on the status of RYLA camp registration. She spoke with Joy McCall (the Student Liaison) at Pete Knight High School. Joy has the completed application from our female student but still needs to get the completed application from our male student. Sharon will try to attend the Interact Meeting on February 27th and get both applications. This will allow us to go online and complete the formal registration. RYLA Camp is scheduled for 29-31 March 2019. Facilitators are still needed for the event. Sharon will also inquire about the student’s payment for their Interact Tee Shirts.
Sam Garcia reviewed the weekly emails with the Club Members. The most significant information was details on the merger process. Sam forwarded the data to the Club Members.
Don Ryan provided additional copies of the flyer for the upcoming Sunday Funday Event to raise funds to purchase supplies for Yellen School.
