Meeting Recap 03/29/17

The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 29 March 2017.  The meeting was called to order by President Chuck Church at 6:45 PM.  Members in attendance were: Sharon Freeman, Sam Garcia, Janice Garcia, Tina Borzage, Yolanda Risch and Chuck Church.   Everyone enjoyed dinner.  The formal meeting began at 6:50.

The first order of business was to discuss the upcoming Spring Blowout Sale in April.  Sharon Freeman expanded on the list of items that we will have for sale. We have added two additional bikes, clothes and shoes.  The Club covered the items we need to have available for the Swap Meet (tables, chairs, banners, pens, price tags, clothes racks, rope, PVC poles, cash box, etc.).

The next order of business was to update the Club on the status of Super Build 2017.  This far only Tina Borzage is attending from the Palmdale Club.  The Build is scheduled for 6 May 2017 in Tecate, Mexico.

New Business:

Chuck Church flowed down the information that was exchanged at the President’s
meeting on March 27th.  The initial Governor’s visit will be a social visit with all six clubs
in the Antelope Valley.  We are tentatively setting up a get together at the Jet Hawks
Stadium for August 12th.  Cost will be $23 including food and game ticket.  More details
to follow as they become available.  Individual Club visits will be scheduled at a later
     date.
In addition, Don Ryan from AV Sunrise Rotary has suggested a joint club Bowling
Tournament at Vista Lanes.  Don and Chuck will coordinate details with the Bowling
Alley.  We are tentatively looking at a date in September after Labor Day.  More to
    follow.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM.
