Meeting Recap 04/11/18
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 11 April 2018. The meeting this week was a discussion meeting only since several Members were out ill or on travel. Members in attendance were: Sharon Freeman, Chuck Church, Holly Liebenow, guest Don Ryan from AV Sunrise Rotary and David Maddock. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The discussion meeting began at 6:40.
The focus of the evening’s meeting was to finalize the preparations for the Spring Blowout Sale. Tina, Janice and Sam will not be back in town until the 13th of April. Chuck transferred goods for David’s car to his own since David would not be available for the Sale. Most of Tina’s goods had been transferred to Sam and Janice’s car over the past few weeks. Chuck will get our booth location from Joyce and email it to everyone. Sharon will bring her items to the booth on Saturday and Chuck will bring his items and David’s items on Saturday as well. We plan to drop off items around 11:00 AM on Saturday and set up at 7:00 AM on Sunday.
Don Ryan announced that he was selling tickets for his Club’s Sunday Funday Auction at the AV Country Club. Proceeds will be used by AV Sunrise Rotary to support programs at Yellen School.
