Meeting Recap 04/12/17
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 12 April 2017. The meeting was called to order by President Chuck Church at 6:35 PM. Members in attendance were: Sharon Freeman, Sam Garcia, Janice Garcia, Tina Borzage, Yolanda Risch, Laureano Flores, guest Don Ryan from AV Sunrise Rotary and Chuck Church. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 6:55.
The first order of business was to have guest Don Ryan address the Club on his upcoming Sunday Funday event coming up on 30 April 2017. Don presented pictures of the items that his club procured to support the Yellen School. Several Palmdale Club Members purchased tickets for the event.
The second item of business was to discuss the recent Spring Blowout Sale. Chuck Church asked the members to list any comments from the event and email them to him. We need to especially list and Do’s or Don’ts to implement for 2018.
The next order of business was to discuss the District Governor Elect’s Project. At the Board Meeting on 5 April, the Club decided to support the project with $250. With a successful Spring Blowout Sale, the Club decided to wait until after the District Assembly to see if additional funds would be donated.
Treasurer Tina Borzage present a report on the results of the Spring Blowout Sale. The Club netted in excess of $600. Funds were deposited to the General Account.
The final order of business was to make sure everyone attending District Assembly was registered and that transportation was confirmed. All attendees agreed that they were registered and had transportation.
Old Business:
Everyone was again reminded of the AV Sunrise Rotary Sunday Funday Auction
coming up on 30 April at the AV Country Club. Tickets are $45 each or $75 per couple.

New Business:
The only item of New Business was to direct a letter to Donna Termeer regarding a visit
