Meeting Recap 04/19/17
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 19 April 2017. The meeting was called to order by President Chuck Church at 6:35 PM. Members in attendance were: Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, David Maddock, Yolanda Risch, Laureano Flores and Chuck Church. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 6:45.
The first order of business was to make sure everyone attending District Assembly was registered and that transportation was confirmed. All attendees agreed that they were registered and had transportation. The Club will have five members at the Assembly.
The second item of business was to discuss the upcoming events at the Palmdale Discovery Center and Manzanita Elementary School. The date for the Discovery Center is May 18, 2017 at 1:30 PM. The date for Manzanita Elementary School has not yet been determined.
The next order of business was to discuss the Club letter to Donna Termeer at the Supervisor’s Office asking Kathryn Barger to become an Honorary Member of Palmdale Rotary. Chuck Church reviewed and marked up the draft letter. Sharon Freeman will incorporate the changes into the letter and send it to Donna Termeer.
Old Business:
The AV Sunrise Rotary Sunday Funday Auction is coming up on 30 April at the AV
Country Club. Tickets are $45 each or $75 per couple.

The only item of discussion under New Business was to have the Club members
determine what kind of Demotion Party they want to have and where they would like to
have it.
