Meeting Recap 05/17/17
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 17 May 2017. The meeting was called to order by President Chuck Church at 6:35 PM. Members in attendance were: Tina Borzage, Sharon Freeman, David Maddock, Sam Garcia, Janice Garcia and Chuck Church. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 6:45.
The first order of business was to discuss the Children’s Event at Ocotillo Elementary School on May 18th at 1:00 PM. Sharon, Chuck and Janice are planning to attend.
The second item of business was to continue discussion on the upcoming Demotion Party on June 24, 2017 at Sharon Freeman’s home. The menu was reviewed: Pork ribs, burgers and brats will be the main entre selections. pork & beans and potato salad will be the additional items. There will also be desert. Sharon updated her list of who would provide each item. It was decided not to purchase food yet, since we don’t know how many people are coming to the event. Quantities will be updated later in June.
The next item of business was to discuss the concert that Bobby Oh is presenting this Sunday. It will be at the Calico Saloon in Lancaster. Chuck will send flyers out in an email to the Club Members.
Old Business:
Sam still needs to load 2018 goals into the system (Rotary Club Central/dacDb).
