Meeting Recap 05/30/18
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 30 May 2018. The meeting was called to order by Sam Garcia at 6:35 PM. Members in attendance were: Janice Garcia, Chuck Church, Tina Borzage, Sharon Freeman, Holly Liebenow, Yolanda Risch and Sam Garcia. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00.
Club Members received an update on David Maddock. Dave is at home and he is doing better. He is undergoing dialysis treatments three times a week; however, the treatments are making him sick. They still don’t know what specifically is causing the sickness. It has been very helpful to have his daughter Lisa at home to help Gracie.
President Sam Garcia has sent the response letter to Pauline East and her foundation.
Sam Garcia reviewed the weekly emails from District and International. The focus was on the upcoming Super Build below the border in Mexico. Tina will be attending the Super Build and load the donated items from Sam Garcia into her car for transport to San Diego.
Sharon Freeman briefed the Club Members on the latest information regarding our Interact Club at Knight High School. Sharon attended the last meeting of the year for their club and presented the Board Members with certificates of recognition and presented the outgoing President with a Rotary coffee mug. The Board Members were all surprised and appreciative of their certificates.

New Business:
Under New Business, the Club decided to have the upcoming Board Meeting at Gino’s Italian
Restaurant if we could reserve the Godfather Room. Sam and Janice will see if they can
reserve the room.
