Meeting Recap 06/21/17
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 21 June 2017. The meeting was called to order by President Chuck Church at 6:35 PM. Members in attendance were: Tina Borzage, Sharon Freeman, David Maddock, Roseanna Budd, Sam Garcia, Janice Garcia, Chuck Church and guest Jim Miceli (Studio City Club). Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 6:45.
Jim Miceli was introduced to the Club Members. Jim visited our Club in August of 2016.
The first order of business was to update the status on the upcoming Demotion Party. Sharon reviewed the list of food and who was bringing what. We will use Easy-Ups to provide shade in the back yard for the party. Sam and Janice will bring two Easy-Ups and 22 chairs. They will also bring an ice chest with beer and ice. Everyone knows what their food items will be. We will be at Sharon’s house at 1:00 to set up and will plan on eating at 3:00.
The second item of business was to ensure that the website was back up and running. Chuck has loaded the recap from last week as well as photos of Veronica Jordan from Walmart receiving her plaque for supporting the 2016 Children’s Christmas Shopping Spree.
The final item on the agenda was the re-submittal of the Walmart Grant request. The Walmart Grant Request has been resubmitted.
