Meeting Recap 07/11/18
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their monthly Board meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 11 July 2018. Full details of the meeting will be presented at next month’s Board meeting when the minutes are read and approved. The meeting was called to order by President Sam Garcia at 6:45 PM. Members in attendance were Chuck Church, Janice Garcia, Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, Yolanda Risch and Sam Garcia. The formal meeting began at 7:00 PM.
Secretary Janice Garcia read the Minutes from the June meeting. The Minutes were approved.
Tina Borzage presented the June Treasurer’s Report. The report was approved. Tina also presented a year end summary of financial activities for the Board.
President Sam Garcia presented last year’s goals and results and the new goals for 2018-2019.
President Sam Garcia presented what was discussed in the new DG’s Highlighter Newsletter.
The Club continued planning for this year’s Oktoberfest. Sharon Freeman passed out the tickets for the Oktoberfest and the Special Raffle drawing. The event is scheduled for September 22, 2018 at Hacienda Lane Ranch.
Sam read the featured article on our Club’s website. The story reported on Tina Borzage’s trip to Tijuana, Mexico for the Superbuild on June 2nd and include details on the construction of two homes and pictures of the activities.
