Meeting Recap 10/10/2018
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 10 October 2018. The meeting was called to order by President Sam Garcia at 6:30 PM. Members in attendance were Chuck Church, Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, Yolanda Risch and Sam Garcia. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00 PM.
Sharon Freeman presented an update on our Interact Club at Knight High School. The Club wants 23 more Interact Club shirts. They are looking for a possible price reduction since the Set Up is already in place. They are also considering printing on one side of the shirt only. Chuck will contact the shirt printing company and see what is available.
President Sam Garcia reviewed the weekly emails with the Club. He gave the Treasurer the go-ahead to send in our Club Donation for Rotoplast for this year. May 18, 2019 is the date for the Super Build in Mexico for the 2018-2019 Rotary year.
Chuck Church stopped by Walmart and McDonalds to begin coordinating for the Children’s Shopping Spree in December. He was able to meet with Assistant Managers for both businesses but both Store Managers were unavailable. He will continue to try to contact each of the Managers. Sharon Freeman will draft a request letter for each business on Palmdale Rotary letterhead and forward it to Chuck for editing.
