Meeting Recap 10/24/2018
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 24 October 2018.  The meeting was called to order by President Sam Garcia at 6:30 PM.  Members in attendance were Chuck Church, Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, Janice Garcia, Yolanda Risch and Sam Garcia.  Guests included Barbara Frazier (Liaison), Erin Calimlim and Danyuska Silvestre from Lancaster Interact Club and Joy McCall (Liaison), Carina Garcia, Daniel Merino, Emily Recinos and Kailey Fender from Knight High School Interact Club.  Everyone enjoyed dinner.  The formal meeting began at 7:00 PM.
Sam Garcia welcomed all our guests for the evening and turned the meeting over to Sharon Freeman who had Barbara Frazier and Joy McCall introduce their Interact Members.  The students sat together at the same table and exchanged experiences while in Rotary Interact.  The clubs each spoke of the events they had participated in over the last year.
Chuck will be contacting the shirt company in regards to the Interact Club wanting 28 more Interact Club shirts.  A price reduction is possible with printing limited to one side of the shirt.  Chuck obtained a color chart of shirt colors but the Club has decided to stay with the dark blue that was used last year.  Chuck will get the shirts on order and get a price and delivery date.
President Sam Garcia reviewed the weekly emails with the Club.  Again, May 18, 2019 is the date for the Super Build in Mexico for the 2018-2019 Rotary year.
Chuck Church continued efforts to coordinate with Walmart and McDonalds regarding the Children’s Shopping Spree in December.  Letters are being finalized for the Managers at Walmart and McDonalds.
