Meeting Recap 10/30/19
The Rotary Club of Antelope Valley conducted their weekly meeting at IHOP Restaurant in Palmdale on 30 October 2019. The meeting was called to order by President Gene Melchers at 6:30 PM. Those in attendance included Sam Garcia, Janice Garcia, Chuck Church, Don Ryan, Vickie Ryan, guest Rory Larsen, Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage and Gene Melchers. Everyone enjoyed Dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00 PM.
Tina Borzage gave a preliminary report on Oktoberfest. She reported on attendance tickets sold, bonus arffle tickets sold, drink tickets sold and raffle tickets sold. She will have a complete report at out next Board Meeting as part of the Treasurer’s report. She did indicate that we made money from the event but still need to account for unpaid tickets and receipts for expenses.
Don Ryan reported that the Lefler Grant request was submitted. Chuck Church reported that the County Grant request for $2,000 has been submitted to the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors for approval. Our DDF Grant request has been submitted to District 5300 and has been approved for $1,800.
Sam and Janice Garcia presented a list of left-over items from the Oktoberfest that are available for purchase by Club Members.
The Club will be meeting at Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Palmdale for our Board Meeting next week (6 November 2019).
