Meeting Recap 11/02/16
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their monthly Board meeting at Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Palmdale on 2 November 2016. Full details of the meeting will be presented at next month’s Board meeting when the minutes are read and approved. The meeting was called to order by President Chuck Church at 6:30 PM. Members in attendance were: Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, David Maddock, Lori Troise, Brandon Youngblood, Janice Garcia, Sam Garcia, Yolanda Risch, Rosana Budd and Chuck Church. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00.
Per the agenda, the minutes of the October Board meeting were read by Janice Garcia. The minutes were approved. Tina Borzage presented the Treasurers report for October. The report was approved.
Sharon Freeman and Tina Borzage covered updated material on our recently completed Oktoberfest. We were short one document and will close out the financials at the next meeting.
Discussions were started regarding the Christmas Shopping Spree. David Maddock will chair the event. We will be selecting 20-25 children from 7 to 12 years of age to participate. We will try to obtain local channel 3 coverage of the event. We decided on 7:30 for breakfast at McDonalds and shopping after that. We will need a signed waiver for each child participating.
Our Christmas dinner will take place on December 14, 2016 at Gino’s Italian Restaurant.
There was no Old Business.
Under New Business, Chuck confirmed the date of November 9th for Aaron Turk to brief the Club on his Eagle Scout Project.
