Sam Garcia reviewed the weekly emails with the Club Members.  The District Gala was held on March 16, 2019 in Las Vegas and was very successful.  The District Conference and Assembly are being held in Orange County this year on May 3rd and 4th.  The Assembly is on May 3, 2019 at the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort at 1855 S. Harbor Blvd., Anaheim, CA and runs from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.  The Conference runs from Friday May 3, 2019 to Saturday May 4, 2019.  The Super Build is scheduled for May 18, 2019.  There will be two sites.  There are funds to build two homes.  Rotary has more than enough volunteers to cover two homes.  An additional $9,000 will be needed for each additional home.

Sharon Freeman updated the Club on the status of RYLA camp registration.  All registration activity is completed.  Both campers have been updated on the briefing materials that are needed prior to the start of Camp.  Adult supervision on the bus from Palmdale to Victorville has been taken care of.

Rosamond hosted the 14th Annual Sheriff’s Appreciation Dinner on March 23, 2019 at the Rosamond Elementary School.  The event was very successful.  Many thanks to the volunteers and sponsors who made the event a huge success.

Don and Vickie Ryan updated the Club on the upcoming Sunrise fundraiser Sunday-Funday at the Country Club on April 14, 2019.  Final preparations are in place and everyone is anxiously awaiting the event which raises funds to purchase supplies for Yellen School. at 5:00 PM.

Discussion continued on the drafting of our new Bylaws.  All Members are still deciding on whether to have Bylaws only or Bylaws and Policies and Procedures.   It was decided to take the existing three sets of Bylaws for the current clubs and follow paragraph by paragraph with edits and content and insert the data into the Rotary template for Bylaws.  Development of the Bylaws will continue on a weekly basis.

The Club was asked to select a date during the week of April 15-19 for mandatory training.  We selected April 17, 2019 at Antelope Valley College.
