Meeting Recap 05/08/19
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Palmdale on 8 May 2019. The meeting was called to order by President Sam Garcia at 6:30 PM. Members in attendance were Janice Garcia, Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, Charlene Melchers, Chuck Church, Don Ryan and Sam Garcia. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 6:50 PM.
President Sam Garcia passed down information from weekly emails from District 5300 and the Governor. The Superbuild is coming up on May 18, 2019. The Rotary International Convention will be in Germany this year.
Sharon Freeman presented an update on Oktoberfest. The event will be on October 19th at Hacienda Lane Ranch. Sharon also mentioned that she would be attending Interact Club meeting on the 13th. They will be electing new officers for next year. They are working on paperwork to pay for their Tee shirts. Sharon will report back to our Club on their status and activities.
Charlene Melchers reported on the District Assembly and Conference. District Assembly was well run. Their will be no Governor’s project for Luanne next year. She intends to visit each club and would like to participate in one of our projects.
