Meeting Recap 6/05/2019
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their monthly Board meeting at Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Palmdale on 5 June 2019. The meeting was called to order by President Sam Garcia at 6:30 PM. Members in attendance were Janice Garcia, Sharon Freeman, Chuck Church, Tina Borzage and Sam Garcia. Full details of the meeting will be presented at next month’s Board meeting when the minutes are read and approved. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00 PM.
Secretary Janice Garcia read the minutes from the May Board meeting. The Minutes were approved.
Tina Borzage read the Treasurer’s Report for the month ending May 31, 2019. The report was approved.
President Sam Garcia passed down information from weekly emails from District 5300 and the Governor.
The main focus for the meeting was to create a calendar for July and when the groups in our new club would meet. The new schedule will not begin until the new Rotary year starting July 1, 2019. Since the first Wednesday of the month in July is the 3rd, the day before July 4th, it was determined that the Club would go dark that week. Week 2 of the month will be on July 10, 2019 and the Board Meeting will be at Gino’s in Palmdale. For Week 3 of the month, the Meeting will be on Thursday at noon at J’s Hideaway in Rosamond. Gene and Charlene will be introducing a new member. Week 4 will be a regular Wednesday evening Meeting at Sizzler’s in Palmdale. Week 5 in will be on July 31, 2019 at Sizzler’s and will be our annual Demotion Dinner/Party. Chuck Church will try to implement these dates on the Website Calendar and send the Calendar to the Members.
