President Sam Garcia indicated to everyone present that this was the last membership meeting of the Rotary Club of Palmdale, Chartered in 1950.  When the next meeting is held on July 10, 2019, the Club will be formally titled the Rotary Club of Antelope Valley (Palmdale).  Then first meeting will be the Board Meeting on 10 July 2019 at Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Palmdale.

President Sam Garcia confirmed that the remaining balance due for the Club’s commitment for The Rotary Foundation (TRF) in 2018-2019 is $480.  Chuck Church made a motion to pay the outstanding amount for 2018-2019.  Sharon Freeman seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously.  Sam Garcia will contact Tina Borzage to pay the outstanding amount as quickly as possible.

It was determined that Sharon Freeman will take over as Secretary for the 2019-2020 Rotary year.  She will be replacing Janice Garcia who was initially selected to be the Secretary.

It was decided at the meeting to have a draft agenda generated for the Board Meeting scheduled for 10 July 2019.  The agenda will be finalized and sent out in advance of the meeting so that all parties will be prepared with the data needed to move ahead as a new Club.
