Meeting Recap 06/27/18
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Palmdale on 27 May 2018. The meeting was moved from Sizzler’s Restaurant due to an equipment failure in the kitchen. The meeting was called to order by Sam Garcia at 6:30 PM. Members in attendance were: Janice Garcia, Chuck Church, Tina Borzage, Sharon Freeman and Sam Garcia. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00 PM.
Members received an update on David Maddock. Dave is still recovering at home. He is gradually regaining his strength.
Sharon Freeman briefed the Club Members on the latest information regarding Oktoberfest. Tickets for both the event and special raffle have been ordered. The Club is still deciding on whether to switch from roast pork to roast chicken for the event. The Club will start working the event aggressively in July.
Sam Garcia mentioned that he had submitted a budget of $1,500.00 for the Rotary Foundation in 2018-2019 and $500.00 for Polio Plus. Tina Borzage mentioned that both invoices had been paid for our Domain Name and Club Runner.
