Meeting Recap 09/05/18
 
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their monthly Board meeting at Gino's Italian Restaurant in Palmdale on 05 September 2018.  Full details of the meeting will be presented at next month’s Board meeting when the minutes are read and approved.  The meeting was called to order by President Sam Garcia at 6:30 PM.  Members in attendance were Chuck Church, Janice Garcia, Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage and Sam Garcia.  Guests at the meeting included Ken and Shirley Banks.  Everyone enjoyed dinner.  The formal meeting began at 7:20 PM.   
 
Guests, Ken and Shirley Banks briefed the Club on a Reunion Luncheon and Tour of the CBS Studios for former members of District 5260.  The Reunion will be on October 14, 2018 at the CBS Studios Commissary with a tour to follow.  The Luncheon will start at 11:00 AM and the cost per person will be $45.  Checks and RSVPs must be in by October 1, 2018. 
 
Secretary Janice Garcia read the Minutes from the August meeting.  The Minutes were approved.      
 
Tina Borzage presented the August Treasurer’s Report.  The report was approved.    
 
Sharon Freeman presented an update to the status of Oktoberfest.  Thus far 77 tickets have been sold including comps.  As of the meeting, we will be buying for 100 meals.  All Club Members are continuing to sell tickets for the event and the bonus raffle.  The event is scheduled for September 22, 2018 at Hacienda Lane Ranch.
 
President Sam Garcia covered weekly emails and indicated that the District is requesting $300 for Rotoplast.  We are still in debate with the District over the billing of $200 for the Hospitality Suite at the District Convention.  Janice and Tina will continue to work the issue.
