MEETING RECAP 9/07/16
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their monthly Board meeting at Gino’s Italian Restaurant in Palmdale on 7 September 2016. Full details of the meeting will be presented at next month’s Board meeting when the minutes are read and approved. The meeting was called to order by President Chuck Church at 6:30 PM. Members in attendance were: Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, David Maddock, Lori Troise, Yolanda Risch, Janice Garcia, Sam Garcia and Chuck Church. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00.
Per the agenda, the minutes of the July and August Board meetings were read by Janice Garcia. Both sets of minutes were approved. Tina Borzage presented the Treasurers report for August. The report was approved.
Sharon Freeman presented an analysis of previous years’ Oktoberfest details including ticket sales, actual attendees, bar expenses food expenses and decorations.
Chuck confirmed the date of October 12th for Wen Chen to brief the Club on the status of Human Rights in China.
David Maddock deferred addressing the Club until the regular meeting on September 14th. Sharon and Chuck discussed the status of supporting Antelope Elementary school. We decided to wait until Sharon had connected with Bobby O, Dimus and the Trustees at the school to determine who would visit the Club and present the school’s position for the future of the music program. There was no Old Business or New Business. The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 PM.
