Meeting Recap 09/12/18
The Rotary Club of Palmdale conducted their weekly meeting at Sizzler’s Restaurant in Palmdale on 12 September 2018. The meeting was called to order by President Sam Garcia at 6:30 PM. Members in attendance were Janice Garcia, Chuck Church, Sharon Freeman, Tina Borzage, Yolanda Risch, Dave Maddock and Sam Garcia. Everyone enjoyed dinner. The formal meeting began at 7:00 PM.
Everyone welcomed David Maddock back to the group after an absence of several months.
Sharon Freeman updated the Club Members on Oktoberfest. To date 113 tickets have been sold for the event. Since our Palmdale Interact Club will not be able to help at Oktoberfest, Sharon contacted Lancaster Rotary Interact Club to see if we could get volunteers for the event. They will bring four students to help work the event. Lancaster West Rotary will be sending 8-10 people to the event.
Our Oktoberfest Check List was reviewed and assignments were designated for every item on the list.
After Janice talked to the District regarding the bill for the Hospitality Suite, it was determined that we would not be charged for the event.
President Sam Garcia reviewed the weekly emails with the Club. There was nothing outstanding to report on.
