PALMDALE rOTARY PARTICIPATES IN cHILI cOOK-OFF

On October 31, 2015 the Rotary Club of Palmdale joined with several other Rotary Clubs in a Chili Cook-Off contest hosted by Lancaster Rotary at Fox Field in Lancaster. The weather cooperated completely as six different organizations put their cooking talents to the test.  The program also included a Classic/Antique Car Show and the flight of several hot air balloons.
The afternoon was a great success.  Our club made several new friends and invited several guests to attend one of our weekly meetings.  Sam Garcia was the cook of the day for our club and created a delicious pot of chili for all to feast on.  Although we did not win the contest, it was a fun morning and afternoon for all who attended.  All the clubs are looking forward to the next cook-off.
