Prior to their weekly Wednesday Meeting, the Rotary Club of Antelope Valley held a brief workshop to prepare over 500 bags for distribution at the up-coming Trunk-Or-Treat Event at Poncitlan Square in Palmdale on Sunday, October 30 sponsored by the Palmdale Sheriff’s Boosters.

The Trunk-Or-Treat Event included live bands, food vendors, product vendors, a car show and lots of candy for the kids.  The Rotary Club distributed the bags for kids to use that day and for Halloween Trick-Or-Treating on Monday.  The bags were stenciled with the Rotary Logo on one side and reflective red and white tape on the other side of the bag.  The bags were meant to spread the word that Rotary is concerned for the safety of children all the time but especially on Halloween after dark.  The Event was a huge success and the bags were prevalent throughout Poncitlan Square.
