The Rotary Club of Antelope Valley hosted their 4th Fiesta Day on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Lazy T Ranch in Leona Valley. Over 80 friends, relatives, and guests attended the fund raiser event. Proceeds from the event go to support the Club’s activities throughout the year.
Food included tacos stuffed with beef, chicken, pork, or elk meat along with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, salsa, and chilies. Refried beans and rice were also included with dessert and coffee. Drinks included delicious margaritas, beer, wine, and soft drinks.
After lunch, Club President Joshua Konrad spoke the audience and thanked them for attending and mentioned some the activities that the Club supports such as: Sending students to Team Leadership Conference (TLC), Rotary Youth Leadership Achievement (RYLA), Supporting AV Vets4Veterans with food donations, Providing winter jackets for students at Keppel Union School District, Providing office equipment for Wilsona Elementary School, Supporting South Pasadena Rotary with sleeping bags for the Down Town Los Angeles (DTLA) homeless gifting event, Supporting Altadena Rotary at two separate fire relief food and supply events following the Eaton Canyon Fire in Altadena, and providing equipment for the Acute Rehab Center at Holy Cross Hospital.
District Governor Mike Driebe presented a Silver Award to Antelope Valley for Community Service and Gold Awards for Public Image and Club Service. Certificates for Outstanding Community Service were also presented to the Club from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Office and the Office of State Senator Suzette Martinez Valladares.
The afternoon concluded with the selection of Raffle Basket winners, Silent Auction winners, and Live Auction winners. Lots of fun, food, and fellowship was enjoyed by all who attended.
