The Rotary Club of Antelope Valley Hosted Speakers David Santamaria and Dion Tucker from America’s Job Center of California at the Club’s weekly meeting on May 3, 2022. 
 
Mr. Santamaria spoke to the Club about what was available through America’s Job Center of California.  The Organization provides Workshops on resume development, interviewing skills and networking.  The provide One-on-One coaching as well as job search support.  They provide Job Listings, Job Training Programs, Free access to computers, internet, fax and phones for job search needs, Referrals to community partners, Special programs for youth, Customer Services for veterans and conduct weekly hiring events.  Items needed to participate in the programs are: Right-to-Work ID, Last earnings Statement, HS Diploma or GED and Selective Service Registration (for males born after 1960).
 
Mr. Tucker spoke to the Club about the Organization’s Rapid Response Program.  If your company is downsizing, the Organization can schedule a meeting to present an overview of available services for employees, conduct group orientation for displaced staff, provide displace employees with unemployment and benefit information and referrals to assist employees in their job search.
 
America’s Job Center of California Offices are located in Lancaster on Ave L and in Palmdale on Sierra Highway.
