The Rotary Club of Antelope Valley hosted any and all First Responders in the Rosamond area for a free luncheon following the Rosamond First Responders Appreciation Day Parade and September Fest on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Glendower Park. Following the Parade that was sponsored by the Rosamond Chamber of Commerce, the public met at Glendower Park for the September Fest. There were games for the kids including two Moon Bounce rides, cornhole games and a talent show.
The Rotary Club of Antelope Valley hosted the First Responders Luncheon in the Park Clubhouse for all Sheriff’s Deputies, Firemen, CHP Officers, Ambulance Drivers and Attendants, Nurses and AMR Drivers and Attendants. The Luncheon consisted of roast chicken, baked beans, whole kernel corn, potato salad and rolls. Lemonade, iced tea and water were provided to drink and cookies were provided for dessert. The Rotary Club also sold hot dogs, chips and soda for everyone who was not a First Responder. The Club held a raffle for three bicycles and several other raffle basket prizes. It was a great morning and afternoon of fun especially for the First Responders and kids.
