The Wilsona Elementary School in Lancaster, California was recently reopened after being closed for several years. As expected, budgets were very tight and just the minimum amount of equipment was provided for the school. The Rotary Club of Antelope Valley asked the Principal and Superintendent if there was some item of equipment that the school would like to have that was not provided in the budget. They responded that a Laminator and Service Cart would be great to have for students to preserve their artwork and to help provide decorations for the classrooms.
With the help of a Lefler Foundation Grant the club was able to provide the Laminator and Service Cart. On January 29, 2025 several club members, the Principal, the Superintendent, and several children took pert in the official presentation of the equipment at Wilsona Elementary School. The Principal, Staff, and students were thrilled with the new equipment which will be used for all grades and should provide many years of service.
