SEPTEMBER MEETINGS UPDATE
September is always an exciting time for us at The Rotary Club of Palmdale, because we are so busy this month with preparations for our Oktoberfest. This event was suggested by our long time Rotarian member, David Maddock six years ago. He and his wife Gracie, owned and operated a few successful restaurants in England which was very good for us and for all of you who have attended and enjoyed the food that we make every year; as all of the recipes come from their files. Thank you David and Gracie!
As of August 1st, we are now over at the Hometown Buffet (Avenue P, near 10th) for our monthly Board Meeting. This is always on the first Wednesday of the month. Otherwise we meet at Sizzler on Palmdale Blvd.
This month don't miss our 9/23 meeting when we will have Mr. Robert Ormsby (Bobby O) to speak to us about Music as Therapy. Bobby is a longtime musician here in the Antelope Valley and also the past director of the Performing Arts Program at Acton Rehab and currently a Music Therapist at The Cycles of Change and Artist Way Music Shop in Lancaster. Many know of Bobby O and his Band as he has performed for many years with all of the best.
