The Rotary Club of Antelope Valley had the pleasure of hosting fellow Rotarian Lucia (Lucy) Villarin from the Linda Vista Rotary Club in Mexico City for lunch at Gino's Italian restaurant on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.   Lucy was accompanied by her son Edgar and her daughter-in-law Fabiola.  Antelope Valley Rotary Club Members Don Ryan, Tina Borzage, Sharon Freeman and Chuck Church also attended the luncheon.  Lucy discussed her club's on going projects and the possibility of our two clubs participating in a joint International Project.  Tina Borzage has been working for several months to try and get our two clubs working on a project together.  Before the meals were served each of the Antelope Valley Rotary Club Members reviewed a project that is on-going or has recently completed.  These projects included the Oktoberfest, the Children's Christmas Shopping Spree, the new trash receptacles for the Barrel Springs Road Trail and projects with Girl Scout Troops in the Antelope Valley.  After lunch, the Clubs exchanged banners.  It was a great luncheon and new friendships were made.
