On September 11, 2025 the Rotary Club of Lancaster and the Rotary Club of Antelope Valley had the pleasure of presenting a motorized scooter to a Marine Veteran through the Wheels for Warriors Program. Big Shotz Bar & Grill hosted the presentation of the scooter to Marine Veteran Leonard Thorton. The Program began with the Presentation of Colors, the Flag Salute, and singing of the National Anthem.
Steve Baker made opening introductions after which a buffet luncheon was served. After lunch, Barbara Sellon, Chuck Church, and Mike Schaell presented the scooter to Veteran Leonard Thorton on behalf of their respective Rotary Clubs. It was a great afternoon of recognition and respect for all Veterans of all the Armed Services and an opportunity to thank them for their service to our country.
