APRIL MEETINGS UPDATE
Wow, the first quarter of 2016 is almost over. Our busy schedule continues for The Rotary Club of Palmdale as we look forward to upcoming events. Our Spring Blowout Sale is just a month away and our proposed Hot Dog Cookout at Sam’s Club is in preparation. Musical instruments were delivered and dedicated to the Antelope Elementary School from the proceeds of our special raffle held at last year’s Oktoberfest. Remember as of January 6th, we are now meeting at Gino’s Italian Restaurant (north of Alice’s’) for our monthly Board Meetings. As always, the meetings will take place on the first Wednesday of the month. Otherwise we meet at Sizzler on Palmdale Blvd. for weeks 2, 3, and 4.
A Board of Directors Training Seminar will be held on March 19th in Pomona. President Elect Chuck Church will be attending for our club. Rotary 5300 District Assembly is coming up on April 9th in Apple Valley. It is very important for all members (especially our new members) to attend. You must all register individually on line with the District 5300 Website. Our Spring Blow Out is coming up on April 17th at the Swap Meet at Four Points. Details of the Blowout Sale are being worked on at each weekly meeting. On Sunday, March 13th the Rotary Club of Palmdale delivered an upright piano to the Antelope Elementary School as part of our continuing effort to help build the music program at the school.
